Movimento Congo-Angola is a community of asylum seekers who fled their countries in search of safety, protection, and a better life due to the ongoing issues that violate their basic human rights.
I designed their emblem by uniting elements from both countries’ creating a volute spiral resembling yin and yang, symbolizing their visual border in Africa.
The red shared by both flags represents blood. In the emblem, I recontextualized the red as an outer stroke to unite them together, representing them as one blood, one family, uma familia.
